Integrated COBRA Administration

By joining the IMA Health Plan, your group benefits offering will be governed by the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, also known as COBRA.

.
Among other things, this Federal Law allows enrolled participants of the IMA Health Plan and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for limited periods of time under certain circumstances such as voluntary or involuntary job loss, reduction in the hours worked, transition between jobs, death, divorce, and other life events.

To assist in the administration and management of an employer’s responsibilities under COBRA, the IMA Health Plan will include integrated COBRA administration for a nominal monthly cost.
